Bridge Renewal Trust recruiting for a new Chair and Trustees

Posted by: Jenny Carter on February,5th,2018

The Bridge Renewal Trust is a unique and ambitious charity based in North London. We were set up in 2009 as a successor to the Bridge New Deal for Communities (NDC) that led regeneration in Tottenham from 2000 – 2010. We are committed to building a sustainable social business dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people living in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive organisation that is making a difference to the lives of local people.

New Chair Wanted
We are seeking a new Chair who can lead the organisation in partnership with the Chief Executive through a period of unprecedented organisational change and growth. Our founding Chair, who has successfully steered the organisation since inception, will be leaving the Board. We are going through exciting times and need to ensure that we are organisationally ready and well positioned to build on the great successes of the last 9 years and deal with future opportunities and challenges.

The ideal candidate for Chair of the Bridge will have the strategic and people skills to work with us and key stakeholders to make the greatest differences to the health and wellbeing of Haringey residents.

Trustees Wanted
We are seeking Trustees with particular expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Facilities Management
  • Digital technology
  • Marketing
  • Corporate social responsibility

Applicants should be committed and passionate about what we do and able to attend quarterly Board meetings plus annual business planning special meeting, AGM and any sub-committee meetings that a Trustee may join. Trustee roles are voluntary although we do pay expenses.

To discuss further please contact the outgoing Chair, Rachel Hughes on 07702207193 or for an application pack, please email geoffrey@bridgerenewaltrust.org.uk or visit our website www.bridgerenewaltrust.org.uk.

Deadline for receipt of application: 26 February 2018. Open evening for interested applicants: 20 February 2018 at 6.30pm. Interviews: 13 March 2018.
