Accountable to: Chief executive officer
Hours: 22.5 hours per week.
Pay scale: £14,040 per annum
Holidays: 17 days per year

To work as part of the Haringey Wellbeing Network team, under the Wellbeing Activities service strand. The Peer support project worker is to facilitate peer support to people with long-term mental health problems, and to equip and facilitate volunteers to lead groups.
The peer support worker will develop and deliver peer support groups across Haringey; building sustainable relationships through common interests or strengths, and enabling effective support networks, reducing isolation and improving access to services or support. The peers support project worker will enable individuals with lived experience of mental health to be able to form support networks within the community.
The peer support project worker will set up and form new peer support groups in 8 hubs across the borough, in which peer support leads will be identified trained and supported to deliver groups.
To promote Mental Health and Wellbeing through the Peer Support Service enabling peer support leads to voice and represent themselves in appropriate forums in the community.
