Voluntary Sector Development Manager

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 pa + 6% pension

Do you have experience of managing a service including business planning and partnership working? Do you have a demonstrable track record of successfully tendering for contracts and/or grants?
The Bridge Renewal Trust has a contract as Haringey Council’s official ‘Strategic Partner’ to ensure the local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) is stronger, able to attract more external funding and best placed to support communities and meet the needs of all residents. We are currently recruiting a Voluntary Sector Development Manager to work with Haringey Council to build the infrastructure capacity of new and existing VCS organisations to deliver against their core objectives. This includes managing the service and supporting the organisations to shift service models and/or adopt new methods of fundraising and applying sustainable funding strategies.

We are looking for someone who is: able to design and deliver capacity building support and training for VCS organisations, skilled leader and able to manage relationships and motivate others, knowledge of the development and financial needs of the VCS; knowledge of diverse methods of fundraising and income generation; and conversant with a wide range of communications tools to engage all stakeholders.

Bilingual Care Navigator (English and Bengali speaking)

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum + 6% pension

The Bridge Renewal Trust, in partnership with Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group and Haringey GP Federation, are delivering the care navigation workstream of the East Haringey Care Closer to Home Integrated Network (CHIN).

The East Haringey CHINs (East A and East B) have been working with Haringey Public Health and Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group to develop a new pathway of care for people living with type 2 diabetes; for newly diagnosed patients and those with an established diagnosis, but have poor control. The aim of this post is to work in a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for people living with diabetes in East Haringey CHIN. This is a new and exciting opportunity for Haringey to lead transformational work in diabetes care. The post holder will work with East CHIN leads and diabetes specialist nurse to support the new diabetes pathway of care.

Are you a passionate and dynamic individual with ability to speak English and Bengali, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; and a proven track record of working in a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with general public, GP practices, other healthcare professionals and voluntary sector?

We are currently recruiting a Bilingual Care Navigator who will be working closely with patients who have had a new diagnosis and patients who are poorly managing their diabetes to better access resources and care. You will also be working closely with the wider diabetes services in Haringey to help patients navigate their diabetes journey and access respective services and care including helping them to make full use of the community and voluntary sector resources available locally.

Are you a passionate and dynamic individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills? Do you have the skills to provide development support to others, so they can become self-sustaining?

The Connected Community project aims to empower migrant groups in Haringey to build capacity so that individual migrants can develop, in supportive environments, the skills and confidence they need to integrate effectively into wider society. The project also entails working with existing community groups to enable them to expand their reach so that their membership includes migrants and therefore reflects wider society, thereby enabling integration through meaningful contact between migrants and longer-term residents.

We are currently recruiting a Community Organiser to provide tailored support to migrant and existing community groups ranging from outreach, needs assessment, building skills and confidence, and connection with wider communities.

We are looking for someone who is: self-organised and effective at empowering others; able to assess needs and problem solve; able to lead, manage and motivate others; and experience or awareness of asset-based community development.  Ability to speak one or more community languages is highly desirable.
