Interim Steering Group

Eight parents/carers volunteered to be part of the Interim Steering Group.

They are working together to establish the Forum’s structure, constitution, and policies, as well as representing the views of parents and carers at strategic meetings.

Parent of an autistic 12-year-old, governor in a special school and trustee in a charity breaking down attitudinal barriers regarding disability. A TV News Editor for 15 years, I am now studying therapeutic counselling in order to empower carers

What equips me to represent you is my background in the charity world, and as daddy to a son diagnosed on the autism spectrum, I have experience (like you I daresay) of the steep, unending learning curve such a diagnosis puts you on.

Staff

The Forum has two members of staff, who both work part-time, Mondays to Wednesdays.

• Lizzy Ngotta, Engagement Coordinator

Lizzy promotes engagement of parent and carers in the Forum and supports the formal Forum engagement with Haringey Council.

• Grace-Lyn O’Malley, Administrative and Communications Assistant

Grace provides admin and comms assistance to the Forum.
