Caring Circus

Enjoyable and fun workshops at Jacksons Lane for carers and those they care for using circus skills.

The weekly Caring Circus workshops will give space to create, explore, relax and simply be in. You will learn a number of different circus skills including juggling of balls and scarves, and hula hooping, while you have the opportunity to move and be physical in your own pace.

In a fun atmosphere, this circus skills workshop provides welcome relief from difficult daily activities and the chance to develop coordination, increase focus, and get a confidence boost when learning how to spin a plate!

  • When? Weekly 1-hour sessions.

  • Who? Paid carers and their clients, or those who look after a friend or family member. No previous experience required.

Community music therapy

Join Outsider Music and start working on your music straightaway!

In these therapy sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to use your creativity and your love for music as a way to improve your wellbeing. You’ll be able to write, produce and record with musical and technical support. During the process, you will also be able to explore ideas of collaboration and performance.

  • When? 10 weekly workshops, 1-hour sessions.
  • Where? Clarendon Recovery College - online also possible by arrangement
  • Who? Young people aged 18 and over. No previous music experience is required.

African Caribbean Writing Workshops & Performances

Using literature of prominent black writers and established local writers, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a piece of writing that can be anything you wish to do, whether spoken word, stories, notes, or monologues. This is a platform where you can express yourself in a safe and comfortable group setting. At the end of these weekly workshops, you will be able to share your work with the group.

This workshop will give you some healthy coping skills, strategies, and choices to deal with overwhelming current changes and uncertainty.

Tapestries For Recovery

In the sessions you will learn several different crafting skills, all designed and delivered by local artisans & crafters with lived experiences.  

You’ll be introduced to journaling and book binding, hand embroidery and slow stitch. No previous experience required

Creative workshops in photography and drawing with Pinhole London 

We’ll collaboratively create unique artwork exploring analogue photography and drawing. In these workshops, participants will have a supported creative outlet to build creative skills & confidence in making art; respond to our local environment & personal situations through art; provide a social space for friendly conversation.

This is a free, inclusive and accessible workshop for all, without any previous experience. Join us to create art & have fun! Kindly let us know any access requirements.

Digital Music Production

Fun and relaxed digital music production sessions for young people aged 11-18 in a working multi-booth recording studio. 

You will work with a professional sound engineer and music producer and learn how to use Logic Pro X as well as record and mix using a wide range of microphones, midi keyboards, turntable and mixing desk.

Come with your own music to record or learn how to write in these sessions - no previous experience necessary.

Women’s Football

A friendly football session for all women, our coaches can help you develop your skills and keep fit. Sessions include both regular football and walking football, all abilities are welcome.

After-School Football

Two after-school football clubs for those aged 8-11 years and 12-15 years. Sessions offer a great opportunity for young people to play football, develop skills, and make new friends.

Walking Multi-Sports

Open to both men and women, we cover a variety of sports played at walking pace with the help of our dedicated coaches, while improving your fitness and opportunities to socialise.

Wildcats

This is for girls aged 5-11 years old who are passionate about football. Sessions focus on fun, gaining confidence and learning to play the game in a friendly and safe environment.

Adult Inclusion Session

A sports session for adults with learning and physical disabilities. Weekly sessions include multi-sports and walking football and are delivered in partnership with Adult Care.

Shape up with Spurs

Our renowned physical activity programme for both men and women over 18 years old. Sessions are open to all levels of fitness and support you to move more, get fit and feel great.

Women’s Walking Football

A friendly walking football session for women (40+). Our coaches can help you try something new, develop your skills and get fit playing football. All abilities are welcome.

 


Where?

Activities take place at the N17 Arena – a brand new community space – located on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium campus and dedicated to providing fitness, inspiration, friendship and fun in the heart of Tottenham. You can now sign up to a variety of different activities available, all for free.
