Expand What is Bridge Renewal Trust? Bridge Renewal Trust is a registered Charity (Charity No: 1131941) and a company limited by guarantee, the Bridge offers many services to local residents, organisations and statutory bodies. What does the Bridge Renewal Trust do? The Bridge offers a wide range of services to local people and organisations, it could be health and wellbeing related service such as our complimentary therapies, or the Health at the Hut healthy lifestyles advice and activities, or support on Mental Health via the Haringey Wellbeing Network. We support other local charities and groups through the Community Impact Haringey project. We also work closely with Haringey CCG and the Local Authority on engagement with local residents, of partnering on the safer neighbourhood boards, take a look around our website for more information. How is the Bridge funded? Like many other charities and groups locally, the Bridge often bids for contract work and we are funded to carry out this work by several funding streams, these include, Haringey CCG, LBH, National Lottery and more. How many people work at the Bridge? The Bridge now employs about 35 people, over 70% of those are people who are living in Haringey. The Bridge also has lots of opportunities for volunteers. Who edits the content of the Bridge website? The Bridge has several of it’s team members adding content, news and events to our website, if there is something you’d like featured on our website, that is relevant to our audience use the contact us section of the site to get in touch. How secure is any info I give to the Bridge? All contact information and personal data is stored securely and in line with our General Data Protection Regulation policy. Who is responsible for updating information? If a person wants to have their organisation or service added to the Bridge Service Directory, it is up to that individual or organisation to update any information.

Community Impact Haringey Expand As Haringey Council’s official ‘Strategic Partner’, we work alongside the Haringey Council to ensure the local voluntary sector is stronger, able to attract more external funding and best placed to support communities and meet the needs of all residents. Safer Neighbourhood Board Expand We co-ordinate the Safer Neighbourhood Board (SNB) in Haringey. SNBs are in place in every London Borough, bringing police and communities together to decide local policing and crime priorities, solve problems collaboratively and make sure that the public are involved in a wide range of other community safety decisions. Haringey Giving Expand Haringey Giving raises funds, gives out grants, and enables corporate and employee volunteering in Haringey. It is an independent partnership led by local residents, which works closely with community organisations, local businesses, large corporates and funders. National Lottery Funding Expand The Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund This funding is for organisations that support people and communities under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living. You can apply for between £10,000 and £75,000. Grant size: from £1,000 to £100,000, for projects that last up to 3 yearsFunding covers: direct costs associated with delivering the project; Decision timescale: if you are applying for £30,000 or under, you will receive a decision in 8 weeks. If you are applying for over £30,000 a decision will take 12 weeks.Deadlines: ongoing Apply here Heritage Fund Fund for projects that are clearly focused on heritage – this can be national, regional or local heritage of the UK. They will prioritise heritage projects that will: boost the local economy, provide job creation and encourage skills development, support wellbeing and create better places to live, work and visit. They also expect that all projects to demonstrate that they are building long-term environmental sustainability and inclusion into their plans. TNLCF want to fund projects that use nature to encourage more community-led climate action. Funding opportunities with approaching deadline Expand The Mrs Smith & Mount Trust - The Mount Fund This fund is for registered charities whose beneficiaries are in London (and/or surrounding cities). The Mount Fund has four priority areas: Therapeutic Interventions in Mental Health Homelessness Community Youth Services Refugee and Asylum Seekers The next round of applications will be reviewed by Trustees in March 2024. Funding opportunities with rolling deadline Expand The Rayne Foundation The Rayne Foundation makes grants to charitable and not-for-profit organisations across the UK in four areas of special interest: young people's improved mental health; arts as a tool to achieve social change; improved quality of life for carers and for older people; better opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers. Grants typically fall in the range of £10,000 - £20,000 per annum for up to three years. The two-stage application process is designed to reduce time spent on your application. Apply here Cadent Foundation Cadent Foundation offer grants to charitable organisations for projects which address the root causes and impacts of fuel poverty. Grant applications are by invitation only, but if you have a project you think could benefit from their funding you can get in touch and submit a project outline. Apply here Trusthouse Charitable Foundation Small and Major grants available to organisations working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation. They will fund revenue costs including core costs, salaries, running and project costs. Small grants - single year grants between £2,000 and £10,000 Major grants - single year grants or up to 3 year multi-year grants between £10,000 and £1000,000. Organisations should have a focus on Early intervention, families coping with addiction or prisoners' families. Apply here The Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants The purpose of the Holiday Grants programme is to provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. You must apply at least six weeks before your trip or holiday is due to take place. Grant size:£500 – £2,500 Apply here City Bridge Trust - Small grants Grants are available for the following areas of work: - Greening and growing projects which bring communities together and improve the local environment.- A project which enables disabled people and/or older people who are disadvantaged to actively participate in the arts, sports and health and wellbeing opportunities. Grant size: £1,000 and £10,000 per year are available for a maximum of five yearsDecision timescale: within 12 weeksOrganisation size: income of less than £100,000Funding covers: Capital funding, Revenue funding, or a mixture of the two. Organisation type: Registered charity, CIC, CIO Apply here City Bridge Trust - Advice and Support Grants They welcome applications for up to five years of funding, and core funding will be considered. Applications must be for one of the Trust’s priority areas: 1. Advice and support for disadvantaged individuals in the following areas: benefits; debt & money; fuel poverty; employment problems; housing; or immigration status. 2. Food povertyThe Trust want to tackle issues related to hardship and crisis by funding the infrastructure needed to support the distribution of donated food. They are particularly keen to hear from organisations who work to ensure that clients receive culturally appropriate food. LGBTQI+ Community Network Expand The LGBTQI+ Community Network is a group of both dedicated LGBTQI+ organisations & services and those which work across the whole community (including the Bridge), working together to make Haringey the best place it can be for LGBTQI+ residents. The Network meets monthly to share work and develop joint projects. Current work is focusing on safety, including mapping safe spaces, increasing awareness of hate crime and support for reporting.
NavNet Expand NavNet is a free network that connects people who help Haringey residents. It is a project jointly owned by Haringey Council, The Bridge Renewal Trust and the VCS. Anyone who works in Haringey can join – either as a volunteer or in a paid capacity – to connect, signpost and navigate residents to services, people, groups, organisations and help. Multi Faith Forum Haringey Expand The Bridge Renewal Trust is a member of the Multi Faith Forum Haringey. The Forum meets monthly to discuss issues that faith communities are facing and ways in which they can be supported. The Forum has a contact list of nearly 150 individuals made up from all faith groups within Haringey. This contact list is used to arrange meetings as well as getting important information out to the faith communities of Haringey.
