Following their confirmation as the Council’s strategic partner for the voluntary and community sector in 2015 our relationship continues to go from strength to strength. I would like to congratulate Bridge on reaching this important milestone and thank Geoffrey, and all the staff, for their tireless efforts on behalf of all people in Haringey. I look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the Haringey voluntary sector is stronger, able to attract more external funding and deliver better services.” Councillor Joseph Ejiofor, Leader of Haringey Council “For the past 10 years the Bridge Renewal Trust has provided a pillar of support to local charities across Haringey, empowering communities to flourish and grow through increasingly difficult times. As the MP for Tottenham I am hugely grateful to the Trust, and proud of the work carried out by their tireless volunteers. In the space of the past 10 years more than 5,000 people have participated in Trust activities aimed at empowering communities and more than 150 people have been supported back into work. For these people and many beyond, the Trust offers invaluable hope, support and empowerment. I have no doubt the next 10 years will be just as successful.” Rt Hon David Lammy, MP for Tottenham “The Bridge Renewal Trust plays a crucial role in promoting community cohesion, assisting the voluntary sector to coordinate and be proactive and positive on issues as complex as knife crime, assisting young people to thrive and encouraging crucial summer activities across Haringey. I wish The Bridge all the best for the coming years in sustaining our vital voluntary sector during tough times.” Catherine West MP for Hornsey and Wood Green “The Bridge is a fantastic organisation who has really supported us to engage with communities in Haringey.
