COVID-19 community resources Haringey Giving Haringey Giving is an independent partnership led by local residents, which works closely with community organisations, local businesses and funders across Haringey. We are making a difference to the lives of residents and supporting our community organisations. We raise funds to invest in our borough, encourage others to volunteer their time and enable people in Haringey to take action on the things that matter to them. We provide small grants for projects that meet a need identified in the borough by those who know Haringey best – its residents and the community organisations working here. We are responsive to emerging needs and release funds quickly to successful applicants. Responding to the impact of COVID-19 In response to COVID-19, our focus has been to provide quick and responsive funding to charities and informal groups working across Haringey to provide essential support to our most vulnerable people. We have joined over 250 funders in pledging to offer support to civil society groups affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Since we opened the Together We Can COVID-19 Fund on 5 April 2020, we have awarded over £392,000 of grants to 81 organisations including Edible London, Pram Depot, Antwerp Arms Association and Muswell Hill Food Bank. This is thanks to donations to our COVID-19 appeal and match funding provided by our corporate partners such as Linklaters international law firm, and the LHC Community Benefit Fund, The Two Magpies Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund. Due to the increasing demand for local support due to COVID-19 we increased our appeal target to £250,000. If you are in a position to do so, please make a donation, set up a fundraiser to raise funds for the appeal and share the appeal widely with everyone you know.
