Home Cooked

Home Cooked

Home Cooked is a violence reduction programme funded by the Mayor’s London Violence Reduction Unit.
This is a partnership project to help tackle serious youth violence building on the successful delivery in the Tottenham Hale ward, we are now delivering the programme in Northumberland Park. We provide a range of initiatives for young people and their families such as sport provision, employment support, a future leaders programme and mental health support.

Thirty young people from Northumberland Park and the surrounding areas took part in a free Saturday drama programme delivered by Black Arts Production Theatre, one of the recipients of the Home Cooked Community Fund.

The project provided a safe, supportive, and educational environment where young people could build confidence, develop communication skills, and express themselves creatively. Through the sessions, the group of talented young creatives developed a powerful storytelling piece which was showcased to a live audience at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre.

BAP is a hub for Black artistry, dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices through live performance. By combining professional theatre-making with grassroots talent development, it serves as both a creative platform and a training ground where young voices are not only heard but also celebrated on stage.
