The Laurels Healthy Living Centre is an award-winning facility designed to improve local healthcare access by providing joined-up care to residents right on their doorstep.
Originally part of the New Deal for Communities initiative, it is now managed by The Bridge Renewal Trust. Opened in 2004 in Seven Sisters, Haringey, the centre, alongside Bromley by Bow, was one of the earliest neighbourhood healthcare models, offering a new model of care in the community that brought together GP practices, district nurses, and therapy services all in one place, putting the needs of residents at the centre.
The Laurels provides purpose-built, state-of-the-art surgery space for two existing GP practices and for a new GP practice, providing over 16,000 GP places for local residents , including those who previously had no GP.
In addition, it provided facilities for health visitors, speech therapists, and district nurses.
